A large engineering firm with over 50 employees across five locations was looking for a solution for project time tracking. Hours had previously needed to be manually booked to projects, timesheets created by hand, and then transferred to SAP with significant effort. Furthermore, project managers and site managers lacked a central overview to evaluate the hours worked by their teams.

Our answer

We developed a custom Excel time tracking tool with multi-user functionality – ideal for distributed teams and project-based work in engineering:

  • User-friendly time tracking form for employees

  • Role-based access (Employees, Project Managers, Site Managers, Administrators) to different functions

  • Concurrent use by multiple users in a separate data structure

  • Automated Generation of Certificates of Performance (PDF) for customer release

  • Project and site evaluations for full transparency

  • Administering SAP Data Exports as well as importing new project data

The result

Clear and convincing

Employees now record their hours weekly with minimal effort. Performance records are created automatically, digitally signed off by the client, and the data is seamlessly transferred to SAP. Project managers and site managers benefit from up-to-date daily overviews. The tool continuously grows with requirements and regularly integrates feedback from the team.
